Jim Henson Company Set To Bankroll S. Craig Zahler’s Hug Chickenpenny

Latest reports reveal that the Jim Henson Company is all set to produce the S. Craig Zahler’s movie adaptation of the orphan story “Hug Chickenpenny: The Panegyric of an Anomalous Child. Also, it has been reported that the designs of animatronic puppet versions of the titular character, Hug will be done by the designers at Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. Dallas Sonnier is said to be the co-producer of the film.

The story of the film revolves around a hopeful, physically asymmetrical boy, who faces challenges in an orphanage and the world outside. Zahler has also written and directed Bone Tomahawk and Brawl in Cell Block 99. He has penned several books including A Congregation of Jackals, which was nominated for the Peacemaker and the Spur Awards.

The producer’s upcoming film police thriller, “Dragged Across Concreteis currently in post-production. The film stars Mel Gibson and Vaughnin the lead roles.Further, The Happytime Murders bankrolled by The Jim Henson Company was released in Aug this year.
