    From J.J. Jameson To Commissioner Gordon, J.K. Simmons Bags Justice League

    Whiplash actor J.K. Simmons has been roped in to play the role of Commissioner Gordon in Justice League: Part One. The actor is known for his role as J. Jonah Jameson in the Spider Man trilogy by Sam Raimi. Simmons will be joining Ben Affleck, who will be reprising his role as Batman in the film.

    The character of Commissioner Gordon has been previously played by Gary Oldman in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy. Gordon has a pivotal role in Gotham city, where Batman operates. The television series Gotham also focuses on Gordon’s journey from when he joins the force to becoming one of the best officers the city has to offer.

    Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Mamoa, Ray Fisher and Ezra Miller will also be present in Justice League, along with Affleck and Simmons. The movie will be directed by Zack Snyder who has also directed the upcoming Batman V Superman film. Justice League: Part One will be released on November 10 next year.
