John Francis Daley And Jonathan Goldstein In Negotiation To Helm ‘Flashpoint’

‘ Spider-Man : Homecoming’ scriptwriters John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are in talks to direct ‘Flashpoint’, the Flash standalone movie which will star Ezra Miller. Earlier, Warner Bros. approached Ben Affleck, but he refused. When asked from the studio whether the two are directing the project, it refused to comment.

Actress Ezra Miller will reprise her role of Barry Allen/ The Flash from Justice League. We wonder if the movie will be comedy since Daley and Goldstein are known for directing comedy films such as Vacation and the upcoming Game Night, which will star Jason Bateman. They were also on the shortlist to direct Spider-Man: Homecoming which earned more than 880 million dollars worldwide.

Ever since director Rick Famuyiwa walked out of directing the film, the project has been on hold. While looking for his replacement, the studio decided to modify the script altogether. The script has been penned by Joby Harold, who had to rewrite the script of one page to add comedy elements.
