    John Logan To Pen Script For Leonardo DiCaprio’s Da Vinci Biopic

    Paramount has roped in high-profile writer John Logan to adapt Walter Isaacson’s biography Leonardo da Vinci. Actor Leonardo DiCaprio has been signed in to play the role of the painter/scientist. The film will be produced by DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson through their banner Appian Way.



    Paramount acquired the rights of the movie in August after a multi-studio bidding battle. Logan in poplar for writing scripts of movies like Alien: Covenant, Genius and the two most recent James Bond movies Spectre and Skyfall. He also wrote the scripts for Gladiator, The Aviator and Hugo which were nominated for Oscars.



    This will be the second time that John will be collaborating with DiCaprio after he scripted the Howard Hughes biopic The Aviator, which released in 2004. The Titanic actor will next be seen in the untitled Quentin Tarantino movie which is about the Mason family. Leonardo has a connection with da Vinci as he got his first name after his pregnant mother was looking at the painting in a museum in Italy.
