After almost one year of his break-up with French actress-singer Vanessa Paradis, the Golden Globe winner Johnny Depp has finally spoken out on the unfortunate incident, explaining it as "a bit bumpy”. The couple was happy together for 14 long years.

The 50-year-old star told Rolling Stone in its July 4 issue, "At times, [it was] certainly unpleasant, but that's the nature of breakups, I guess, especially when there are kiddies involved.” The actor has two children with her ex-partner Paradis, Lily-Rose, 14, and Jack, 11. He has also confessed that he still cares a lot for his lost love. He said, "It doesn't stop the fact that you care for that person, and they're the mother of your kids.”

"You'll always know each other, and you're always gonna be in each other's lives because of those kids. You might as well make the best of it,” he added. He has also showed his love for his kids who have helped him a lot in his distressed times, "I had something pretty serious to focus on, really, which was making sure that my kids were gonna be cool.” He praised his kids saying, "They've been incredibly understanding. Incredibly strong throughout the whole ordeal.” The actor will be seen next in Tonto in The Lone Ranger, expected to open on July 3.
