Johnny Depp likely to star in Black Mass as a notorious criminal

Hollywood heartthrob Johnny Depp is speculated to have signed a deal with Black Mass makers to star as a real-life infamous criminal in the film. Black Mass is a biopic on James `Whitey` Bulger who is an American crime figure convicted of murder, extortion, money laundering and several other misdeeds.

Bulger was a former FBI informer who was later listed in FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitives. The 50-year-old Hollywood star, Depp, opted out of Black Mass’ star cast last year after his monetary demands were not satisfied at that point of time. Inception star Tom Hardy is negotiating to play John Connolly, an FBI agent, who was also a childhood friend of Bulger. The FBI agent ended up with a jail term for warning Bulger of his impending perils. Depp was last seen in The Lone Ranger and will be seen next in Transcendence.
