Josh Boone likely to direct The Stand

Filmmaker Josh Boone is in negotiations to hold the camera for The Stand. The film will be a screen adaptation of Stephen King’s epic novel of the same name. Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. and CBS Films are producing the project. Earlier, it was said that Scott Cooper will be directing and writing the film, but later, he left the flick over creative issues.

The producers had also made attempts to get Ben Affleck and David Yates to sit on the director’s chair, but that didn’t happen too. Josh Boone has so far made one film only, The Fault in Our Stars and will be directing Pretenders in future. It will be a big breakthrough for the maker as well to get his feet firm in the industry via The Stand.
