    Josh Gad joins Disney's live-action 'Beauty and the Beast'


    Frozen actor Josh Gad has officially joined the cast of Disney’s live-action movie adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. The movie already stars Harry Potter’s Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens (Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, The Cobbler) as the Prince who turns into the Beast, plus Luke Evans (The Hobbit movies) as the evil Gaston.

    Beauty, a French fairy tale, is about a young woman who takes her father’s place as a prisoner in a monstrous being’s castle only to fall in love with the creature who turns out to be a prince. Bill Condon is directing and David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman are producing. Josh previously played the voice of Olaf the Snowman in Disney’s giant cartoon hit “Frozen”. He voices Olaf again in the new short, “Frozen Fever” which will run before screenings of Disney’s live action Cinderella which opens this weekend. And he’ll also be part of the “Frozen 2 sequel. Disney’s live action “Beauty and The Beast” is due out in theatres in 2016.
