Bryan Singer’s ‘Superman Returns’ created records at the box office when it released in 2006. Being termed as the best superhero movies of all time, the film grossed $84.2 million in just five days. The role of Clark Kent was initially offered to Jude Law, but the actor turned down the role.

Recently he appeared on ' The Late Show' and during the show he revealed why he turned down the offer of playing the superhero. The Black Sea actor revealed that one of the major reasons of turning down the flick was the costume. He said, "I'm Superman. I stood there and then I had this picture of me in that costume on posters all over the world and I was like 'no way' and I unzipped it".

The role eventually went to Brandon Routh who played it to perfection. However, Jude Law bagged many iconic roles after that. He is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Genius’.
