Justice League Finds Its Steppenwolf In Ciaran Hinds

Game of Thrones actor Ciaran Hinds has been roped in to play the main villain, Steppenwolf, in the upcoming film 'Justice League'. The character was first teased in a deleted scene from ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’. Steppenwolf is the uncle of Darkseid, who was also teased in Dawn of Justice.

The deleted scene titled ‘Communion’ was released soon after the release of the movie. It showed Lex Luthor standing in a pool of what seemed to be blood, with a mystical creature with horns standing in front of him. The creature then disintegrates into thin air. Fans were quite intrigued by the short clip and spent a lot of time trying to decipher what it meant.

Ciaran was also present in ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2’ where he played the younger brother of Albus Dumbledore, Aberforth Dumbledore. ‘Justice League’ is being directed by Zack Snyder and will be released on November 17 next year. It will bring back Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.
