Kate Mara set to star in ‘Morgan’

Kate Mara will star in Morgan, a sci-fi film directed by Luke Scott, son of acclaimed director Ridley Scott. The project will be Luke Scott's directorial debut after working as second unit director on Ridley Scott's latest movie Exodus: Gods and Kings.

The movie revolves around a corporate risk-management consultant who has to decide if she should terminate an artificial being. Anya Taylor-Joy is also in talks to star in Morgan opposite Mara. Joy is known for recently starring in the horror film The Witch, which premiered at Sundance this year. The screenplay is written by Seth Owen and it made the 2014 Black List, the list of best screenplays in Hollywood that have gone unproduced. Ridley Scott will also produce with Michael Schaefer and Elishia Holmes of Scott Free. George Heller will executive produce.
