Kate Winslet confirmed for Neil Burger’s Divergent

Finally, the confirmation has arrived from theSummit Entertainment that theTitanicstar Kate Winslet will be playing the lead inDivergent. The actress will be seen enacting the character ofJeanine Matthews in the flick. The film is based on author Veronica Roth’s bestseller, to be directed by Neil Burger. Kate is now among the previously announced cast members Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Jai Courtney, Zoe Kravitz, Ansel Elgort and Maggie Q.

Divergentis of a thrilling genre, set in a futuristic dystopia where people are divided into different sections derived from their personalities and traits. Tris Prior (Woodley) is warned she is a Divergent and will never fit into any single group. A teenager seeks to break free from her homogeneous society that splits people. She leaves her faction and joins a rival bloc, where she falls in love for a young guy.
