Kate Winslet Starring in ‘The Dressmaker’

Titanic star Kate Winslet will be playing the role of a dress designer in the upcoming movie ‘The Dressmaker’. The 39-year-old actress is known for her role as ‘Rose’ in the 1997 film ‘Titanic’. A trailer for the film was released by Universal Pictures Australia.

Kate Winslet plays Myrtle Dunnage, who has returned to her hometown after many years. She left town at the age of 10 because she was accused of murdering a child. None of the townsmen are pleased with her return. Myrtle wants to know the truth about what happened when she was 10 and while doing so, she uses her fashion skills to transform the women of the town.

The Dressmaker will be based on Rosalie Ham’s novel, titled the same. Directed by Jocelyn Moorhouse, the movie will release on October 22. Liam Hemsworth will be playing her love interest. The movie will also star Judy Davis, Isla Fisher and Elizabeth Debicki.
