Hollywood actor Kate Winslet, who has enthralled the audience with her outstanding performances, said that she wants to keep acting in films all her life. The Oscar winning actress also said that to maintain a long career it is imperative to remain complacent. Kate has recently won the Hollywood Actress Award for her performance in Woody Allen’s latest film Wonder Wheel.

The 42-year-old star said, “I don't want to be a person who won an Oscar and then disappeared off the face of the Earth. I want to be the person still here acting their socks off aged 90. And you don't get there by being complacent”.

Kate is very happy with the kind of work she has been offered. She said that she doesn’t mind being 42 and not 22. She said, “I'm honestly OK not being sent scripts anymore where the main requirement is to be easy on the eye. I'm loving playing women who are more worn-in because of life experience. And it takes away the pressure of needing to conform, which I've never been very good at anyway”. On the work front, the actress will next be seen in James Cameron Avatar 2, which is a sequel to his 2009 sci-fi film.
