    Katheryn Winnick Joins The Dark Tower

    Variety has reported that Vikings star Katheryn Winnick has been roped in for the cinematic adaptation of Stephen King’s novel ‘The Dark Tower’. She will join Idris Elba, Matthew McConaughey, Fran Kranz, Abbey Lee and Tom Taylor. The movie is being directed by Nikolaj Arcel.

    Katheryn’s role in the film is currently unknown. Idris will play the character of Roland Deschain, Matthew will play The Man in Black, Fran will essay the role of Pimli and Abbey will be the female lead Tirana. Tom Taylor will play young Jake Chambers. The movie will be based on the first part of the seven part novel series. It tells the story of Roland, The Gunslinger, and his journey to reach the Dark Tower.

    ‘The Dark Tower’ will be produced by Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, Akiva Goldsman and Erica Huggins. The screenplay is written by Jeff Pinkner and Akiva. Katheryn will also be seen in Dean Devlin’s sci-fi actioner ‘Geostorm’ which will be released alongside ‘The Dark Tower’ on January 13 next year.
