Katie Cassidy joins the cast of Wolves at the Door

Katie Cassidy has joined the cast of Wolves at the Door, reported by TheHollywoodReporter. The 28-year-old actress is best known for portraying the role of Laurel Lance a.k.a Black Canary on the hit American television show Arrow. Wolves at the Doors, is loosely based upon the Manson Family murders that took place in 1969.

Cassidy’s character will take inspiration from actress Sharon Tate. The movie has been described as a horror film, which is going to be made on a small budget. Wolves at the Door will be produced by Peter Safran. The film will be helmed by Mortal Combat: Annihilation and Annabelle director John R. Leonetti

Sources close to the development of the project say that the flick will be a home invasion thriller set in the ‘60s. But the movie will not go over the actual events of the Manson Family murders. The Manson Family murders saw members of the Charles Manson clan break into the home of Tate. Tate was eight-and-a-half months pregnant and was with her friends at the time, while her husband director Roman Polanski, was shooting for a film in Europe. All the guests including Tate were stabbed and shot to death multiple times.
