    Lea Seydoux to Play Female Lead in Gambit?

    Blue is the Warmest Color star Lea Seydoux has been offered the part for the female lead in the forthcoming X-Men spinoff Gambit. She will also be seen in the next instalment of the James Bond franchise SPECTRE. The shooting for Gambit will start in October.

    Lea will play the role of Bella Donna Boudreaux in the X-Men spinoff. The character made her first appearance in 1992’s 'X-Men' Vol. 2 #8 and was created by Jim Lee and Scott Lobdell. Being the daughter of the leader of the Assassin’s Guild, she was promised to marry Remy LeBeau - Gambit – who was the leader of the Thieves’ Guild, in an attempt to unite the groups. Things went south and Gambit had to leave New Orleans. After the incident Bella developed an ability to create plasma bursts at will.

    Gambit will be directed by Rupert Wyatt and is scheduled to release on October 7 next year. The script will be written by Josh Zemuter. Producing the project will be Channing Tatum, Reid Carolin, Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg.
