    Lily James To Play Trudy Ederle In Young Woman And The Sea

    Deadline has reported that Lily James has been roped in for Young Woman and the Sea which is based on the book by Glenn Stout. The movie will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Paramount Pictures will be developing the film with Jeff Nathanson writing the big screen adaptation.

    The 2009 book will tell the story of teenager Trudy Ederle and is based in the 1920 era. It focuses on the stereotypes shattering tale of a young teen who worked for the equality of women. At one point “Trudy of America” became the most famous woman in the world.

    Lily James is known for her roles in Downton Abbey and Cinderella. She will be seen in upcoming projects like War and Peace, The Kaiser’s Last Kiss, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and Baby Driver. Jeff Nathanson will also be executive producing the film and is known for his writing in the film Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
