Queen of Katwe actress Lupita Nyong'o and Beauty and the Beast actor Josh Gad have been tapped to star in the zombie comedy 'Little Monsters'. Apart from the two actors, the film will also star actor Alexander England. Australian writer-director Abe Forsythe, who directed the film 'Down Under', will be at the helm of affairs for the project.

The story of the flick focuses on Dave, played by Alexander, a washed-up musician who volunteers to take charge of his nephew’s kindergarten class field trip as he has a crush on his class teacher Miss Caroline, played by Lupita. Dave's intentions are complicated when Teddy McGiggle, played by Josh, appears in front of him. Teddy is the world’s most famous kids show personality who also has a feeling for Miss Caroline. What follows after is the sudden zombie outbreak from which Dave and Miss Caroline must protect the children.

The film will be produced by Keith and Jess Calder's Snoot Entertainment and Made Up Stories. The movie went on floors this month in Sydney. On the work front, Nyong'o will next be seen in the forthcoming 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' where she will reprise the role of Maz Kanata. Gad will next appear in the remake of 'Murder on the Orient Express’ along with Daisy Ridley and Judi Dench.
