    Lupita Nyong’o Bags Trevor Noah’s Biopic Born A Crime

    Latest news reveals that Hollywood actress Lupita Nyong’o is all set to feature in the upcoming film Born a Crime. The film is a biopic based on Trevor Noah’s bestselling autobiography Born a Crime: Stories From a Southern African Childhood. The actress will play the role of mother of the host of The Daily Show With Trevor Noah.



    Moreover, the film is being jointly produced by Noah through his Ark Angel Productions alongside Norman Aladjem, Derek Van Pelt and Sanaz Yamin of Mainstay Entertainment and Nyong’o. The autobiography published by Spiegel & Grau in 2016, has won the James Thurber Prize for American Humor and two NAACP Image Awards.



    Meanwhile, on the work front, Nyong’o had received an Academy Award for the film 12 Years a Slave. She had played the role of Nakia in Black Panther and also features in Abe Forsythe’s Australian zombie comedy Little Monsters. Apart from acting, she is also producing the film based on Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s bestseller Americanah.
