Lyme Disease Changed Me A Lot: Avril Lavigne

The 33-year old Canadian singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne, who has given some great hits like ‘Complicated’ and ‘Sk8ter Boi’, revealed in 2015 that she had been diagnosed with Lyme disease. The past few years are really rough for Avril Lavigne. It now seems that she is ready for her comeback.

Speaking to E! News at a charity event, singer Avril Lavigne once again talked of her struggling days when she was suffering from Lyme disease. She said, “When you go through something like that... I haven’t even been able to come to one of these events. I’ve been tucked away and hibernating and healing and it’s very up and down”. She added,” Everything is brighter (after the struggle). When you go through an experience like that... I’ve always been a very grounded and grateful person but it changes a lot. Simple things in life are what mean the most really (now)”.

Moreover, Lavigne’s new album is all set to be completed next month and will be released later this year. The singer has been working on this album for three years. Also, she has been posting photos of herself in a recording studio on Instagram for the past few months.
