    Machine Gun Kelly To Star In Netflix’s Motley Crue Biopic ‘The Dirt’

    Colson Baker, best known by his stage name Machine Gun Kelly, has been approached to play the role of Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee in Netflix’s adaptation of the band’s biography ‘The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band’. The biography was written in 2001. ‘Jackass’ director Jeff Tremaine will be at the helm of affairs for the flick.



    Rich Wilkes and Tom Kapinos have written the script for the film. The movie will be produced by Julie Yorn, Erik Olsen and Allen Kovac, while members of Motley Crue band will co-produce it. Chris Nilsson, Steve Kline and Rick Yorn will serve as the film’s executive producers.



    The band was formed in Los Angeles and released its first album ‘Too Fast For Love’ in 1981. Motley Crue combined hard rock, heavy metal, and glam rock and sold more than 100 million albums globally. The movie will show the groups highs and lows. Motley Crue played its final concert on New Year’s Eve in 2015 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
