Variety has reported that Hannibal star Mads Mikkelsen is in talks for a role in the forthcoming Doctor Strange flick. He might be playing a mystery villain in the film but won’t be alone as the antagonist. He will also be seen in Star Wars: Rogue One by Gareth Edwards.

Back in June it was announced that Chiwetel Ejiofor will be playing the role of Doctor Strange’s arch enemy Baron Mordo. Mads was also up for the role of Malekith in the 2013 film Thor: The Dark World. The part was eventually given to Christopher Eccleston. Doctor Strange will have Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead role as Dr. Stephen Strange and will be directed by Scott Derrickson.

The movie will be executive produced by Victoria Alonso, Stephen Broussard and Stan Lee, along with others. Tilda Swinton will be playing the Ancient One and Rachel McAdams is also rumoured to be in the movie. Doctor Strange will be released in November next year.
