Marc Foster not in for World War Z sequel

Marc Foster not in for World War Z sequel

World War Z is such a name in the history of cinema which broke all the records to become a worldwide blockbuster grossing over half-a-billion dollars. Its massive success paved the path for its sequel without much hesitation, but the second part will not have Marc Foster as its director on the board.

Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt, who produced the first part under the banner of his Plan B Entertainment company, will also produce the sequel, though the film is in the initial stages of its development right now. No clear reason has been provided yet for Foster’s exit from the project but as it seems the director simply wanted to avoid the off-screen complications which happened to a large extent during the first part’s shooting.

Pitt played it safe while talking about the progress of the sequel, “We are talking about it …We are going to investigate a script. We have a lot of ideas we will cull from. Nobody is writing just yet, but we are compiling our ideas.”The original film was adapted loosely from Max Brooks’novel with the same name. While its production was going on negative media reports took a toll on the film’sprospects as they talked about the over-inflated budget, rewrites, retakes and a common feeling that the producers were so confused about what they were heading towards actually.
