    Martin Scorsese plans to create his ‘Silence’ in Taiwan

    Ang Lee’s Academy Award winning epic phenomenon, Life of Pi, which was shot in Taiwan in parts, has majorly encouraged widely acclaimed filmmaker Martin Scorsese. Hence he is planning to shoot his next project, Silence, in Taiwan instead of Japan.

    Martin Scorsese plans to create his ‘Silence’ in Taiwan

    The director along with his production team has already paid a visit to Taiwan on an eight-day tour to supervise and finalise locations for the movie. They have reportedly visited cities like Taipei, Taichung and Hualien in search of the most appropriate locales. Silence is an adaptation of a Japanese novel and the storyline is based in Japan.
