Mary Elizabeth Winstead To Star Opposite Will Smith In ‘Gemini Man’

Actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead has been approached to star as a female lead in Paramount Pictures and Skydance Media’s ‘Gemini Man’. Tatiana Maslany and Elizabeth Debicki were also on the list, however Mary bagged the project. She will star opposite Will Smith in the movie.

The film will be directed by Ang Lee. Clive Owen is in talks to play the villain. Jerry Bruckheimer, Skydance chief David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger are producing the flick.

Don Murphy and Chad Oman are executive producing. The movie revolves around an over-the-hill hitman who faces off against a younger clone of himself. The film will hit theatres on October 4, 2019. It is not known when the movie will go on floors as Smith is currently busy with his prior commitments. Skydance is expecting to begin shooting by spring of 2018.

Winstead was recently seen in the movies ‘The Hollars’ and ‘10 Cloverfield Lane’. She was also appreciated for her performance in the most recent season of ‘Fargo’.
