Matt Damon Regards Jason Bourne As Indispensable For His Career

American actor and filmmaker Matt Damon’s much awaited Jason Bourne is all set to hit the screens on July 29 this year. The award-winning star returns to the spy franchise and reprises his role as the stoic secret agent in the flick. Helmed by Paul Greengrass, the action spy thriller is the fifth instalment in the Bourne film series.

Expressing about the movie, the 45-year-old star recently stated, “I was kind of inoculated for that five or six year period when I made the first three. I could make decisions with absolutely no thought to what the potential box office was. It was liberating in that sense. I knew that if I had another Jason Bourne off in the middle distance, it would kind of rescue me and keep my career afloat for a few more years”.

“It’s obviously the most significant thing that’s happened in my career”, added Damon crediting the role of the Bourne films in his life. The upcoming movie also stars Julia Stiles, Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel and Tommy Lee Jones.
