Matthew McConaughey Shares His Two Cents On Donald Trump

In the slew of negative comments towards Donald Trump from Hollywood and beyond, Interstellar actor Matthew McConaughey also shared his opinion on The Andrew Marr Show. The actor was promoting his recently released film ‘Gold’ and said that America needs to embrace the fact that Donald Trump is the new president. He was quite diplomatic when talking about the issue.

“He’s our president. It’s very dynamic and as divisive of an inauguration and time that we’ve ever had. At the same time, it’s time for us to embrace, shake hands with this fact, and be constructive with him over the next four years”, Matthew said. The actor says that they do not have a choice and that Trump will be in the White House for four more years, at least.

Coming back to his film ‘Gold’, the movie shows him as a poor prospector who gets a lucky break after finding gold in the uncharted jungles of Borneo. The actor went through a major transformation for the role and gained nearly 50 pounds. The movie has been directed by Stephen Gaghan and was released on January 27.
