Meg Ryan Praises Tom Hanks, Calls Him A Master

Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks have worked together in famous films like ‘Joe Versus the Volcano’, ‘Sleepless in Seattle’ and ‘You’ve Got Mail’. Now, Meg has made her directorial debut with the film ‘Ithaca’ and she is glad that Hanks agreed to come on board. The movie is set during the early days of World War II.

The actress praised her co-star for agreeing to play the part. She called it a “huge favour” that Tom did for her. She revealed that he agreed to come all the way to Virginia and do the movie. “He's just such a master”, Meg stated. The 54-year-old actress is also starring in the film alongside Tom, Jack Quaid and Sam Shepard.

The movie tells the story of a teenager named Homer Macauley, played by Alex Neustaedter. He has to take up the role of ‘man of the house’ after the death of his father. His older brother is also forced to join the army. The movie, which hit the screens on September 9 in the U.S., has been produced by Janet Brenner, Laura Ivey and Erik Jendresen.
