Michael Bay Shares His Perspective On Stunt Sequences
American director Michael Bay who is known for helming big-budget action movies such as the Transformers Franchise, The Rock and The Bad Boys Franchise. The filmmaker recently made a statement regarding the action packed stunt sequences in his movies. The actor revealed that he prefers dirty and sloppy stunts.
The 52-year-old director also pointed out that stunt scenes of actors such as Tom Cruise are too polished. The filmmaker was quoted as saying, "We've talked but I told him, 'Tom (Cruise), I know you rehearse your stunts over and over, but I like sloppy stunts.' So that would be the rub working with us, I wouldn't let him rehearse as much". The director further added that, "I like my stunts to be dirty and messy. With 'Mission: Impossible' I understand you need very choreographed stunts".
The director also mentioned that he is done with the Transformers Franchise and would like to end his film-making career with a bang. The moviemaker is aiming to create something "more serious and more adult" in the coming period.
