X-Men actor Michael Fassbender played the role of Steve Jobs in last year’s biopic with the same name. He was lauded for his performance and the film did well at the box office. Recently, the actor was present at the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada where he revealed that he wanted to exit the project.

Appreciating the script written by Aaron Sorkin, Michael stated that when the time to play the part came, he thought, “This is not me. This should be somebody else. It’s a miscast scenario”. He revealed, “In rehearsals, I was trying to find a way to get out of the job. I remember telling my driver, ‘If I put my arm in the door, you should slam it. It should cause a break and it should get me out of this gig’”.

Reportedly, Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale were initially offered the role but both of them refused. Michael, who won the hearts of moviegoers with his portrayal of the late technology entrepreneur and inventor, was nominated for an Oscar for the film. The movie was directed by Danny Boyle and earned $34.4 million worldwide.
