Michael Fassbender set to play Macbeth

Actor Michael Fassbender has been roped in to enact the role of Macbeth in his next. The film will be based on one of the written pieces of William Shakespeare. The character that the actor would be playing will depict the rise and fall of a Scottish general, who clutches the throne through his ambitious spouse and ultimately lands up in a civil war.

Australian director Justin Kurzel will be directing the movie. He is best known for his crime-drama, Snowtown, released in 2011. The flick will also feature Marion Cotillard, Sean Harris, Paddy Considine, Elizabeth Debicki and David Thewlis in the lead roles. Jacob Koskoff and Todd Louiso are penning the script of the movie.
