Mickey Rourke hits the ring

The Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke,  who began amateur boxing at the age of 12 before quitting acting briefly to return in the '90s - sported scraggly grey hair and a ripped physique as he prepared for his upcoming fight against 29-year-old Russian professional boxer Elliot Seymour.

The 62-year-old heavily tattooed star has lost a reported 35 pounds while training for the match, although it has been suggested that he was also losing weight for his role as Welsh rugby player Gareth Thomas in an upcoming biopic. He recently returned as Marv in Robert Rodriguez's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.
