    Mockingjay Part 2 Tops Weekend Box Office

    Katniss Everdeen, the tribute from District 12 has led Mockingjay Part 2 to the top of the weekend box office. Running on its third week, the last instalment in the Hunger Games franchise collected $18.6 million. The movie has now grossed $523 million worldwide. Following Mockingjay was Krampus, the holiday season movie which saw an opening weekend of $16 million.

    Not far behind was the Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone starrer with its $15.54 million. Creed saw its second weekend this week and has pooled in $70 million worldwide. The animated flick The Good Dinosaur which is also running on its second just fell behind Creed with its $15.51 million.

    The Good Dinosaur has earned $131 million worldwide. Closing the top five list was the 24th Bond film Spectre. With a glorious opening in the U.K. five weeks ago, the movie still managed to make the cut with its $5 million. This sends its worldwide earnings to $792 million.
