This week it’s a double bonanza for Hollywood movie-lovers. The long-awaited sequel to the 2001 film Monsters, Inc., Monsters University and Brad Pitt's high-profile zombie flick World War Z are going to give a tough choice among the movie-buffs this time, as expected.

This weekend theatres will be packed with families as Disney and Pixar are to come out with their much-awaited Monsters University and it is assumed by trade analysts that $70 million business will be done on its debut. Hence Monster University is highly expected to give a tough time to World War Z and the ongoing list-topper Man of Steel. Both the films will open this Thursday night. World War Z is supposed to gross $40 million to $45 million on its opening. Some other analysts also think that it would reach the $50 million mark. Man of Steel is supposed to roam between $50 million to $60 million on its second week.

The apocalyptic horror film by Marc Forster, World War Z will require earning big in the overseas market like U.K., South Korea and Australia to stay for a long time in the race. While World War Z banks on its star factor of the leading man Brad Pitt, Don Scanlon-directed Monsters University will see a reunion of Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi and Frank Oz in the roles of Mike Wazowski, James P. Sullivan, Randall Boggs and Jeff Fungus, respectively. In the coming weeks this film will face tough competition at the box-office as numbers of 3D animated films are coming up soon including Despicable Me, opening on July 3.
