Neil Patrick Harris misses on the chord as host!

Hosting the Academy is an ultimate dream for any artiste and it comes with as much responsibility and hard work as one can see. While this may be arguable, but Neil Patrick Harris’s first outing as the Academy host hasn’t gone down very well.

Neil who for all his originality is known to crack spontaneous jokes and express a witty sense of humour lacked on a certain counts tonight where he looked pale, dull and unfunny. In fact if the general response through Twitter and other social media is to be taken into account, the actor has rather had a very tough time. You know there’s something gone wrong when your most favourite star doesn’t look like striking the chords at all. It may have been something to do with the script but good jokes and one liners were few and untimely. With a star of a stature as high as Neil Patrick Harris, the Oscars may not have done justice to his potential.

On the other hand, what particularly went well in this evening’s event was how well the best original soundtrack ‘Glory’ was performed. Performed by Common and John Legend the recital was not just riveting but also very emotional. On similar pattern, Lady Gaga showed a side of hers totally unknown. The diva performed a medley of her specials for Oscars 2015 and was unanimously a favoured performer with spellbinding performance.
