Released in February this year, Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman still has people digging around in the footage to find out hidden treats and explanations for the upcoming Justice League film. Though the movie was criticised a lot for its story line, it doesn’t seem to be stopping dedicated fans from breaking it down piece by piece. Recently, a new hidden treat or Easter egg was discovered by a fan.

The movie had Batman go up against Superman to put his uncontrolled power in check. Because the Dark Knight knew he could not take on the Kryptonian with his martial arts prowess, he came up with a plan, like he always does. He used canisters filled with kryptonite against Superman to weaken him. Several fans pointed out that Superman could have used his x-ray vision to know what was inside the canisters but, he did not and fell right into Batman’s trap.

A dedicated fan answered this dilemma stating that the canisters had the name of an element from the periodic table inscribed on them – Pb. Superman fans may know this, the Kryptonian’s x-ray vision is blocked by lead (Pb). Therefore, he could not see what was inside the canisters.

The film’s set photographer, Clay Enos, was asked by a fan if this was something intentional that director Snyder meant to do. He confirmed that it in fact was part of Snyder’s plan. “Lead. Exactly. Nothing happens by accident in Zack's movies”, Clay tweeted, in response to the fans post.

It’s simply amazing to see filmmakers go in this deep to authenticate a project. Good on you Mr. Snyder.
