New Hitman: Agent 47 Featurette Reveals Plot Details

The new Hitman movie titled Hitman: Agent 47 has got a short featurette that reveals key details about the storyline. The video was released by 20th Century Fox and shines light on the antagonist in the film. The upcoming flick is based on the renowned video game series by Square Enix.

Agent 47 is a genetically engineered assassin who has been stripped of emotions. He was programmed to be a killing machine who just follows orders and achieves his mission. The featurette shows that Agent 47 learns about the geneticist of the Hitman programme, the man who lead the operation of ‘created killers’. He makes it his mission to stop the programme and end the organisation responsible.

This time around, Agent 47 will be played by Rupert Friend who is known for his role in the hit series ‘Homeland’. The movie is directed by Aleksander Bach and written by Skip Woods and Michael Finch. Along with Rupert, the cast includes Hannah Ware, Zachary Quinto, Ciaran Hinds and Thomas Kretschmann. Hitman: Agent 47 will be released on August 21 this year.
