New Jumanji Film Is Not A Remake, Says Dwayne Johnson

It was announced a while back that the hit 1995 film, ‘Jumanji’, was being remade with Dwayne Johnson leading the cast. The original movie starred late Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst and Bradley Pierce. Now, Dwayne has confirmed that the new film will not be a remake of the original.

“And now in two weeks I’ll reunite with old friends Kevin Hart and Jack Black and we have the honor to introduce a whole new generation to the amazing world of #JUMANJI”, the actor posted on his Instagram page. He added, “For the record we are ‘NOT’ making a reboot, but rather a continuation of the awesome JUMANJI story”. Kevin Hart and Dwayne have great on screen chemistry, as seen in the recently released film ‘Central Intelligence’. Adding Jack Black to the mix is just icing on the cake.

The actor also shared how excited he was for working with Jack and Kevin. “It’s also crazy to me how much me, Kev and Jack look like triplets when we’re together. Man this is gonna be FUN”. Dwayne will next be seen in the upcoming film ‘Baywatch’.
