New Spider-Man Movie Featuring Marisa Tomei as Aunt May

The Wrestler star Marisa Tomei will be playing the role of Aunt May in the forthcoming Spider-Man flick. Not too long ago, Tom Holland was confirmed to play the new Spider-man. Now Variety has reported that Marisa was offered the role for Aunt May last week.

Aunt May as a character is quite significant to the Spider-man franchise as she is the only remaining guardian of Peter Parker (Spider-man) after the death of her husband Ben. The famous ideal that Spider-man lives by, ‘With great power, comes great responsibility’, was one of Uncle Ben’s teachings. After his death, Aunt May is what continues to keep Peter Parker humble and responsible.

Marvel and Sony, both have chosen Tom Holland as the next Spider-man with great thought and after several screen tests. He is expected to feature in Captain America: Civil War for the first time as Spider-man. Oscar winner Marisa will be seen as Aunt May in the next Spider-man flick that is set for a release date of July 28, 2017.
