Nicolas Hoult To Star As Young J.R.R. Tolkien In Biopic

 Actor Nicolas Hoult is in negotiations to star in the film 'Tolkien'. According to sources, he will play the role of young J.R.R. Tolkien in the flick. The movie will be directed by Finnish director Dome Karukoski, while Chernin Entertainment and Fox Searchlight will be producing it.

 Tolkien was the architect of Middle-earth and wrote The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings book series that were later adapted into two Hollywood trilogies from Peter Jackson. David Gleeson and Stephen Beresford have done the scripting for the film. The film will document the life of young author during his orphaned school years as he finds friendship, love and artistic inspiration among a fellow group of outcasts at school.

The movie is set when Tolkien leaves school at the beginning of World War 1, as the writer’s formative years were torn apart. All these experiences inspired Tolkien to write his famous Middle-Earth novels. The makers have not yet announced the release date of the film.
