Orlando Bloom Wants To Be Part Of The Right Superhero Film

Orlando Bloom is in the entertainment industry since two decades. However, the actor gained his share of recognition with The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring as Legolas. He also turned heads with his role in Pirates of the Caribbean. The actor has played a pirate and an elf in these movies but has not yet played a superhero onscreen.

Talking about playing a superhero onscreen, the actor said that he wants to be a part of the right superhero film. "When it comes to superhero movies, I would love to do the right kind, that would be fantastic. There are a couple of characters that are really interesting but I have never been open to any of that stuff. It is really about timing," Bloom said.

The 40-year-old actor further added that people may find it d9ifficulty to accept him as a superhero after being in two of the different and successful franchise. He said, "I think when you had two big franchise successes like I have, you become very identified in something. Then it is sometimes hard for people to envision you doing other things. Since I finished Pirates, I did 'Romeo and Juliet' on Broadway, some smaller movies that I wanted to try and have a performance piece. Some of them worked, some did not but I had great experiences working in them".
