A feature-length documentary, titled Pistorius, based on the life of Oscar Pistorius, a former Paralympian and convicted murderer, will be introduced to the distributors at the forthcoming 69th Cannes Film Festival, which is scheduled to be held from 11th to 22nd May this year. The documentary feature will be helmed by Mr Calzaghe’s director Vaughan Sivell. Content Media has picked up the international sales rights of the movie.

The film’s sales company stated, “Oscar Pistorius captured and then broke our hearts. Vaughan has struck a controversial nerve with his timely investigation of the man, the trial and country behind one of the most complex and compelling stories of our times”.

Also popular as the fastest man on no legs, the South African athlete became the first double-amputee sprinter to compete in the Olympics in 2012. Pistorius was arrested in February 2013 after fatally shooting his girlfriend, model Reeva Steenkamp, in their home.
