Paramount Pictures Releases First Trailer For ‘Silence’

Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for Martin Scorsese’s drama ‘Silence’. The movie stars Andrew Garfield, Adam Driver and Liam Neeson and the trailer was released on the studio’s Twitter page. The clip looks quite intense and enticing, just like Scorsese’s other masterpieces.

The movie is based on a novel by Japanese author Shusaku Endo. Driver and Garfield play two Portuguese Jesuit priests who are trying to find their mentor, played by Neeson. Driver and Garfield travel through Japan where they face torture and various forms of persecution.

Along with the trio, the cast also includes Ciarán Hinds, Tadanobu Asano, Nana Komatsu and Shin'ya Tsukamoto, along with others. The screenplay has been penned by Jay Cocks and Scorsese. Vittorio Cecchi Gori, Barbara De Fina, Emma Tillinger Koskoff, Irwin Winkler, along with the director will serve as producers for the project. ‘Silence’ will hit the screens on December 23.

Martin’s last feature project was ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill and Margot Robbie. The movie came out in 2013.
