Paris Jackson Opens Up About Her Horrific Past

Late King of Pop Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, recently revealed some shocking details about her past life. The 18-year-old shared that she was sexually assaulted by a “complete stranger” at the age of 14 and has been dealing with depression, drug addiction and cyber bullying for years. At that time, she did not tell anyone about her assault and tried to take her own life several times over the years.

Paris spoke to Rolling Stone magazine and shared her horrific past experiences. “I don’t wanna give too many details. But it was not a good experience at all, and it was really hard for me, and, at the time, I didn’t tell anybody”, she said. Taking about her multiple suicide attempts, Paris added, “It was just self-hatred… low self-esteem, thinking that I couldn’t do anything right, not thinking I was worthy of living anymore”.

In June of 2013, Paris tried to take her life by slitting her wrist and taking 20 Motrin pills. She also shared that after six years of cyber bullying, she understood why her father underwent plastic surgery. After all the gloomy details she shared with the magazine, Paris also said that now, she is sober and much happier. After her last suicide attempt, she went to a therapeutic school in Utah where she spent a year and half of her junior year of high school. “I’m a completely different person [now]”, she said.

Paris finds comfort in modeling and feels that when she is working, she forgets about her self-esteem issues and feels pretty.

It was quite shocking to find out such details about her past but, we are happy that she has moved on and gotten comfortable with herself.
