Timothy McNeil’s upcoming transgender drama ‘Anything’ will star actors Matt Bomer and John Carroll Lynch. While Bomer will be seen playing a transgender sex worker in Los Angeles, Lynch will essay the role of a recently widowed Mississippi transplant with whom Bomer shares a complicated relationship. The movie has become a victim of controversy even before hitting floors.

Reportedly, people are not very happy of Bomer, who is openly gay, being roped in as a transgender sex worker. In no time after the news broke, many expressed their frustration at the decision. Among others, Jamie Clayton was one who shared her distaste with the casting choice. The actress tweeted, “I really hope you both choose to do some actual good for the trans community one day. @MRodOfficial @MattBomer”. Clayton claims that she was blocked by the Magic Mike actor shortly after she wrote the tweet.

According to reports, the film will also feature Maura Tierney, Micah A. Hauptman, Margot Bingham and Melora Hardin. The movie is based on McNeil's compelling play, about two lost souls, of the same name. The flick will mark McNeil’s directorial debut on the big screens.
