Peter Sarsgaard joins the cast of Magnificent Seven

Peter Sarsgaard has joined the cast of Magnificent Seven, reported by TheWrap. The 44-year-old actor is best known for his in role in Garden State. Sarsgaard has also featured in movies such as Shattered Glass, Jarhead and Knight and Day. The actor has also appeared on television in shows such as The Killing and most recently on The Slap.

The movie will be helmed by Antoine Fuqua and also features Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke and Vincent D’Onofrio. The Magnificent Seven is being produced by Roger Birnbaum and Todd Black along with Walter Mirisch and Antoine Fuqua. The film has been written by John Lee Hancock and Nick Pizzolatto.

The movie is the remake of the ‘60s film of the same name. The original film was helmed by John Sturges and featured Yul Brynner, Eli Wallach and Steve McQueen in the lead roles. The flick focused upon a group of gunfighters who are hired to protect a village from a group of bandits.
