    A real life story of a social psychologist Stanley Milgram is into the making and Michael Almereyda has donned the director’s hat for the same. The news has surfaced that Peter Sarsgaard and Winona Ryder are on board for this project for lead roles. The movie revolves around Stanley Milgram, who designs a controversial Obedience Experiments in 1961 at Yale University to observe the responses of ordinary people, who believed that they were sending harmful electrical shocks to an affable stranger.

    Sarsgaard will essay the role of social psychologist Milgram, while Ryder will be playing Sasha Menkin, one of his students, with whom he falls in love. The film will be financed by B.B. Films’ Uri Singer, Aimee Schoof and Isen Robbins of Intrinsic Value and Fabio Golombek of F.J. Productions. Experimenter will go on floors on June 5 in New York.
