Pulp Fiction’s Casting Wish List Leaked!

The cast of Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction is indeed one of the most iconic. But what we sought was apparently not the first choice of the director. A leaked page by a Reddit user suggests that Quentin Tarantino had a different cast in his mind initially.

As per the leaked paper, Michael Madsen was the first choice in place of John Travolta to essay the role of Vincent Vega. Jules Winnfield was supposed to be played by Eddie Murphy and not Samuel L. Jackson. For Mia Wallace, the director had Virginia Madsen, Marisa Tomei, Patricia Arquette and Phoebe Cates in mind, rather than Uma Thurman, who eventually bagged the role. Drug dealer Lance, played by Eric Stoltz, was perhaps written for John Cusack. For Boxer Butch, the director was considering Matt Dillon, Sean Penn, Nicolas Cage and Johnny Depp.

Pulp Fiction received 7 Oscar nominations and is considered to be Tarantino's biggest box office hit by far. The film is said to have revive the careers of many actors. The black comedy crime film was released in 1994.
