Relax! Cameron Diaz Is Not Bidding Bye To The World Of Acting

Selma Blair has backtracked her comments that Cameron Diaz, who remained absent from the limelight of cinema for over five years now, has quit acting. Considering the conundrum created around it, the actress decided to clear the air and said that her words were taken out of context. Further, Blair explained that she was joking in an interview.

Blair tweeted, "Breaking news. Guys please, I was making a joke in an interview. Cameron Diaz is not retiring from anything. And for more breaking news -- I am now retiring from being Cameron Diaz's spokesperson." It all started after the interview where Blair said, "I would have liked to do a sequel but Cameron's retired from acting. She's like, 'I'm done'. I mean, she doesn't need to make any more films. She has a pretty great life.”

Notably, Blair and Diaz share a very close bond and had shared screen space in ‘The Sweetest Thing’. Cameron, who rose to stardom from hit movies like ‘The Mask’ and ‘My Best Friend's Wedding’, was seen last in a 2014 movie, ‘Annie’. Since then, the actress hasn't had any release. However, her fans are eager to welcome her on the silver screens.
